Job Summary:
Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is seeking an Audio/Visual (AV) Technician to run the Mt. Zion UMC AV system for approximately a 2-hour period on Sunday mornings (9:00 am to end of service).
Key Responsibilities:
● Gain proficiency with and effectively operate our current AV equipment (OBS software, Propresenter software, Crestron projection control and Behringer X32 soundboard).
● Operate camera, slides, sound and live stream worship service on Sunday mornings and occasionally at special services as required.
● Update and maintain the church’s AV equipment and software to ensure that technologies are in working order.
● Ability to assist Music Director with setting and correcting sound levels in the sanctuary, setting monitor levels for musicians and tweaking live-stream sound in real time.
● Coordinate volunteers to assist with process as needed.
Experience, Education and Skills:
● General knowledge and expertise with AV equipment preferred
● Ability to be proactive, adapt and resolve problems effectively, sometimes in high stress situations
● Punctual and reliable
● Good communication skills
● Ability to work effectively with others
