Sheila Rivera Law Office is a fast-growing immigration practice committed to excellence, compassion, and strong advocacy for immigrant families. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Immigration Legal Assistant with experience handling complex immigration matters to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file Immigration Bond Proceedings before ICE/EOIR.
• Assist with Asylum applications , including drafting declarations, gathering evidence, and preparing filings for EOIR.
• Prepare and file SIJ/SAPCR pleadings in Family Court , including drafting petitions, orders, and supporting affidavits.
• Prepare and file USCIS Adjustment of Status , work permits, travel documents, and related immigration forms.
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and client communication.
• Organize evidence, maintain accurate case files, and assist attorneys throughout all stages of representation.
• Communicate with clients in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner.
• Support attorney in hearings, filings, and case preparation as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an immigration law firm required.
• Strong knowledge of:
• • Bond filings (ICE/EOIR)
  • Asylum (I-589) preparation
  • SAPCR and Family Court filings related to SIJ cases
  • Adjustment of Status (I-485) and general USCIS forms
• Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
