Simple Steps, LLC is searching for a professional and enthusiastic Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) in the
Hurst, TX area to provide Music Therapy services for veterans in need. This is an employee position.
PART-TIME with a potential to increase hours due to Veteran needs! About Us:
Simple Steps, LLC is a family owned and operated company that collaborates with various organizations to provide in-home and community programming for wounded veterans. We utilize one-on-one care to foster positive relationships with our clients in order to facilitate their personal success.
Job Description:
The Music Therapist provides individualized therapeutic sessions for our veterans. This position includes the following:
- Assisting clients with cognitive and physical limitations.
- Facilitating therapeutic music activities to foster client growth.
- Submit weekly documentation with session observations and client progress.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to foster communication and team unity.
Qualifications and Preferred Criteria - MT-BC Certification
- Bachelor's degree or higher
Preferred Experience: - Experience with Traumatic Brain Injury
- Experience working with veterans
- Experience working with mental health conditions
- Experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
All individuals should have the following: - Resume
- CPR Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only)
- Social Security Card
- Driver's License
