Job Description
Summary Under the supervision of Dr. Shanika Hill, student teaching assistants will assist Clinical Sciences faculty of the School of Podiatric Medicine in labs for the Podiatric Medicine II Lab.
TAs should be 4th year Podiatry students who have demonstrated high academic performance (at least a 3.0GPA in the relevant clinical course) in their completed coursework.
Essential Functions - Assist students in the demonstration of specific clinical skills.
- Assist student groups during lab with any questions about the assignment inside the lab and during TA office hours.
- Assist the professor in grading clinical assignments.
- Proctor lab exams.
- Assist faculty in the preparation of lab material.
- Supervise overall cleanliness of the lab.
Qualifications/Requirements - Must be enrolled in Barry University's School of Podiatric Medicine as a fourth-year student, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in related clinical courses.
- Must have the ability to operate basic audio/visual equipment.
- Must have effective communication skills, both written and oral.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 10
