    Job Details

  • Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record physiological, pathological, and anatomical data.
  • Produces ultrasound images to aid in diagnosis of medical problems.
  • Monitors and ensures safety of patient and staff.
  • Performs patient screening using established protocols.
  • Operates equipment safely according to departmental policy.
  • Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family.
  • Evaluates competency level of others as preceptor.
  • Reports to Supervisor or Manager.

    Job Requirements

  • BLS (AHA or ARC only) required for onboarding.
  • ARDMS certification required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography Registry required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS 1 Specialty Registries required for onboarding.
  • Proof of MMR immunizations, positive titer, or declination required for onboarding.
  • Fit Test (N95 mask types) must be completed within 1 year prior to start and updated annually.
  • Proof of Hepatitis B immunizations, positive titer, or declination required for onboarding.
  • Influenza Vaccine required for onboarding during flu season with accepted medical/religious exemptions.
  • TB Test (QuantiFERON Blood Test within 1 year or 2-Step TB Skin Test) required for onboarding.
  • Health Statement signed and dated within 1 year of start stating ability to work without restrictions required for onboarding.
  • Proof of Varicella immunizations, positive titer, or declination required for onboarding.
  • Proof of Tdap vaccination within past 10 years or declination required for onboarding.
  • Annual TB Questionnaire required within 6 months of start with documentation if positive.
  • FMOLHS Criminal Background Check Results must be completed within 30 days prior to start.
  • FMOLHS Drug Screen (Negative 10 Panel) within 30 days prior to start required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS Skills Checklist unit specific to scope of practice within 1 year prior to start and updated annually required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS Competency Exam with passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year of start required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS Core Competencies current within 1 year prior to start with passing score of 80% or higher and updated annually required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS HRIS Form required for submission.
  • FMOLHS Badge Photo required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS Contract Annual Education Packet required for onboarding.
  • FMOLHS Eye Exam & Color Vision (Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test) within 1 year prior to start required for onboarding.
